Rhino
Chitwan is one of the finest National Parks in Asia, renowned for its dense concentration of wildlife and top class tourists lodges, which provides the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat. Royal Chitwan national park is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site (natural) list.

A visit to this park involves game-stalking by variety of means – foot, dugout canoe, jeep, elephant back. Every Elephant-back-safari is guaranteed to sight one or two horned rhino. Besides the rhinos; wild boards, samburs, spotted deer, sloth bear, four-horned antelope are also usually seen. A Royal Bengal tiger may surprise you by his majestic appearance.

Nature walk or Jungle walk in Chitwan National park is another way of experiencing the wilderness. In fact, jungle walk gives close-up opportunities to view animals as well as observe their tracks, signs, and sounds. For this an early morning or late afternoon walks is the best.

Dugout-canoe trips down the Rapti river offer views of water birds: brilliant blue Eurasian kingfishers, egrets, osprey and ruddy Sheldrake. A pair of binoculars is a must for bird-observation. The jeep safari through the jungle provides more game spotting opportunities than might be expected otherwise because it goes deeper into the jungle, usually beyond the beaten track. After elephant rides, nature walks and jeep safaris, visitors can splash around in the swimming pool that is inside some of the lodges/resorts.
