Nepal
for most of the travelers. It is situated in a small mountain
sheltered valley and offers: venerable old temples, included World
Heritage Sites; houses of unique architecture; ancient cultures and
traditions; and enchanting views of the encircling, mountains of the Himalayas. To allow you to explore the Kathmandu
Valley and its
wonderful flora, fauna we have tailored short-hiking

Champadevi Hike

|
This hike starts with the
approximately 1 hour drive to Pharping
(south - west) of Kathmandu.
Pharping (19 Km.) is the typical Newari town, surprisingly untouched by the
swarm of tourists that visit near-by Dakshinkali
Before the 1st Shaha King, Prithvi Narayan Shaha, unified Nepal, this was a tiny
city-state. We then walk for about 3 hours to the Champadevi Hill for a pack lunch. Magnificent
views of Kathmandu Valley, Kirtipur and further are seen from here.
After lunch we descend down to Kirtipur
in about 2 hours. Kirtipur (6 Km.
southwest) is an ancient hill top town. From here we drive back
to Kathmandu.
This hike will take about 5-6 hours.

Dhulikhel (32 Km. northeast of Kathmandu) is
popular as a Himalayan Viewing Point close to Newari
settlement. We drive for about 35 minutes to Banepa

ancient riverside town of temples and inns. There are number of
religious sites that can be visited. Indreshwar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Shiva, Bhairab
Temple and
the whole tiny city itself,are
quite remarkable . We have the pack lunch and, after the further
exploration, drive back to Kathmandu.

Himal, Langtang can be
viewed from here. Take an easy walk to Gujre,

to Kathmandu.
